This year, heavy floods caused serious damage in different areas of Buner and Swat. Many families lost their homes, their food supplies, and their basic belongings. As soon as the situation became clear, our team of more than 25 members prepared to respond. The aim was simple: reach the affected people as quickly as possible and support them with whatever they needed.
We carried out four relief drives in Buner and four in Swat. Each drive involved long travel, difficult roads, and working in rough weather, but the commitment of the team never dropped. Through the help of our supporters and donors, we were able to deliver more than 65 lakh rupees worth of relief items. These included food packs, clean drinking water, clothes, medicines, and other basic needs. Many families did not have access to cooked meals, so our team also prepared food on-site and distributed it among the people.
In several locations, we stayed until late in the day to make sure everyone received something. Local volunteers also joined us and helped guide the team to remote areas. This experience reminded us how important it is to stand with communities during difficult times. The efforts were not just about providing supplies, but about listening to people, understanding their losses, and showing them that they were not alone.
