Reading plays an important role in building awareness and broadening one’s understanding of the world. To encourage reading habits among students and local residents, we launched the Book Box Initiative. Under this project, we installed book boxes in the College of Commerce and the Chinar area.
Each book box works like a small open library where anyone can take a book to read and return it when finished. We filled the boxes with a variety of books, including cultural and historical works such as Shtamnah Pakhtunkhwa and Bacha Khan the great leader, along with other titles that appeal to young readers and community members.
The response has been encouraging. Students and locals have started borrowing books regularly. Teachers and parents have also expressed support, saying that such initiatives help build a positive learning environment. We plan to add more books and expand the project to other locations in the future.
